Foam Mattress Topper Smell

I just bought a Serta 4 "Memory Foam Mattress Topper. How long before the smell is gone?
I know these quilts memory foam smell after opening. However, the smell persisted for more than 72 hours. Is it really dangerous to breathe this kind of thing?
It will probably take about two months. This is not really harmful, but some people are more sensitive to smells and perhaps his head badly.
